Setting your LAN Settings and Proxy Server

To be able to connect to the Business Manager servers (required each month to verify your subscription payments and to ensure uninterrupted access to your account), we recommend that you check the connection settings on your computer.

Checking your Connection Settings

1. To check the LAN settings you will need to go into Business Manager Connection Settings and change your Internet Options.

You can do this by right clicking on the Business Manager icon in the System Tray (1) (next to the clock in the bottom right corner of your computer) and then selecting Connection Settings (2).

2. The Internet Options window will appear. Select Connections (1) from the tabs along the top and then click on LAN Settings (2) at the bottom right of the window.

3. Check if the proxy server setting (3) is checked in the LAN Settings. If it isn’t the Proxy server checkbox will be empty and you should put a tick in the Proxy Server box now.

4. If  the Proxy Server box is already checked you will need to bypass these settings*. To do this click on Advanced (4) and then in the Exceptions window on the screen that appears type in the urls

(separated by semi-colons (5). Once done click on OK.

* Note: Make sure to check with your Network Administrator (usually your IT office manager) that it is ok to bypass the proxy.

 

5. If the above did not work contact your Network Administrator and have them configure the proxy to allow all requests to

to pass unchallenged through the server. Once Business Manager successfully connects to the Clearlybusiness servers you will be able to fetch a ticket, which will update your subscription status and allow you to access your programs.
