Checking your Date and Time Settings

Occasionally Business Manager can have problems connecting to the Clearlybusiness servers. This can lead to an incorrect subscription status (e.g. Payment Overdue). Therefore, it is important that the settings on your computer are set correctly.

One problem that can lead to the inability to connect to the Clearlybusiness servers is an incorrect date and time setting. Having the incorrect date and time will not allow you to connect to the servers because the servers require information to be set at the same time as the servers. This ensures information is time stamped correctly.

To access the Date and Time Settings on your computer

1. By default the clock should be in the bottom right corner of your computer screen (1) double click on the clock to access the Date and Time Settings.

2. From the Date and Time Properties screen that appears, click on the drop down menu to change the month (1) then select the date and day of the week to alter these settings (2). Using the up and down arrows you can change the year (3) and finally you can change the time (4). Once you have made all the relevant changes, click on 'Apply' followed by 'OK'.
